The Greater Lansing Area Race Series is a collaborative effort between local Race Directors and area runners to bring back a competitive opportunities, build camaraderie, and provide motivation throughout the year for area runners. The series will feature 12 key area races where runners and walkers will score points based on their finish place. Participants do not need to register for the series, simply participants in any of the Greater Lansing Area Race Series events and score points!
The series kicks off with the Race for the Place and will conclude with the MSUFCU Dino Dash on Sunday, October 1. Watch for additional details on these events on the Playmakers www.playmakers.com and RunMichigan www.runmichigan.com websites.

Greater Lansing Area Race Series - How It Works!
The Greater Lansing Area Race Series is simply, participate in the race, finish in the top 10 in varying categories, and score points! The points will be tabulated after each event and awards issued at the end of the season.
The Race Series points will be awarded for each gender via age group finish along with Overall Place, Overall Masters (40-49), and Overall Grand Masters (50+). Points in each category scored will be awarded to the Top 10 finishers in that category and be tabulated using the scoring rubric: 15, 12, 10, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Stay up-to-date on the Race Series "Points Race" by checking the scoring page after each event.
At the end of the year the Top 5 participants in each Greater Lansing Race Series Age Group and the Winners of the Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters will win awards at the Race Series Banquet.
(Note: Participants must register for each event individually from the race series - race entries are not included with participating in the Race Series.)
