Hoka OneOne's are an opposite take on the whole minimalist running philosophy as they use an oversized 2.5" midsole that gives you more shock absorption than any other shoe out there. The wide base gives you plenty of stability and that allows you to fly down the trail. The newest addition to the Hoka line is the Combo XT (also known as the Stinson B) which is a hybrid trail and road shoe ready for anything you throw at it. It has a combo tread pattern that gives you plenty of grip on the trail while not being too aggressive for running on the road.
