Playmakers Fitness Foundation
Since 1981, Playmakers has been proud to call Lansing home. The Playmakers Fit Foundation is our way of giving back to the community that has given us so much.
Who We Are
The Playmakers Fitness Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the wellness of the mid-Michigan community. We work to empower people to adopt and sustain a healthier and more active lifestyle by providing opportunities for people to move more and educational programs that train people to move better.
Since 1981, Playmakers has been an integral part of the Greater Lansing community. The commitment of original owners, Curt and Judy Munson, to building their business was equaled only by their desire to serve the community.
With a mission of getting people to Move More and Move Better, the Playmakers Fitness Foundation has generated broad corporate and community support to expand their programs specifically targeted to youths, adults, seniors and physical education teachers. All in all, more than 40,000 people are impacted by the foundation every year.
The Foundation operates with resources from Playmakers along with generous support of individuals, groups and corporations to educate and provide opportunities to improve the health of the mid-Michigan community!
Marcy Gillespie-Kinzer, Executive Director
Marcy became the foundation’s first Executive Director in August of 2012 after working 17 successful years in public education as a teacher, coach and administrator in the Mason and East Lansing school districts. She brings the same passion for learning, personal growth, and service to her role with the Playmakers Fitness Foundation that she brought to school with her each day. A lifelong resident of the Lansing area, Marcy is deeply committed to the health and wellness of area residents and to the community as a whole.
Rob Antcliff, Director of Marketing
The long-time Lansing area resident has been a fixture in youth coaching for 30 years.
